I have been on the clock since kindergarten. That is true for all of us. So, at age 77, getting off the clock. I so still want to be active. I love projects and now, I get to pick and choose. Giving back is also wonderful so one of my projects is to be a handyman at Hidden Villa, a beautiful environmental and teaching preserve in Los Altos Hills. I have been privileged to have gone there since I was 10 years old. I went to camp and that camp, which I know changed my life, is still there. It is and has always been multiracial as the Duvenecks who owned Hidden Villa, tried their best to make a dent in bigotry as well as constantly working very hard to advocate for peace and justice.
And, I love making things and have always made furniture. So now, I get to share this furniture with some of you. None of the pieces are perfect. I make lots of mistakes. I am self taught and just blunder on so if you don’t like what you get, no obligation.
My whole life has been serendipity. I am incredibly blessed and feel gratitude for all I have every day. I have an incredibly beautiful wife, who is a practicing psychotherapist. We have been married 55 years. I have 5 children, (10, if you count their partners), and 7 grandkids. My kids and grandkids are unique, talented and marvelous. I am proud of all of them.
The road is open. I’m not sure what’s around the bend.
I live in Los Altos Hills, California
