It is also my first sale of something I built to order. big deal!! Wood from Heritage Salvage. This is superspecial wood. It is well over 100 year old watertank pure heart redwood. So this is the rough side and it has a wash of an off white latex. It’s a headboard. This bed is made out of Hart pine. The trees were logged out and so this wood is well over 100 years old. It is , as you can see very rustic. Hopefully, nobody will get slivers. There will be something to hold up the mattress. Wood from Heritage Salvage. I have made close to 10 beds. This was for granddaughter Kelly made from pine. This bed is in our bedroom which is made of massive beams that I got for free years ago. I wanted the bed to reflect the massive look of the bedroom The wood from this bed came from a cottage that was torn down across the street. A lovely lady had lived there.
